On 6 February 2023, a series of devastating earthquakes struck southern Türkiye and northern Syria, causing catastrophic destruction. Entire cities were reduced to rubble, leaving millions homeless in freezing winter conditions. With more than 50,000 lives lost and critical infrastructure destroyed, the humanitarian need was immediate and immense.
Our Response
Recognising the scale of the crisis, our organisation mobilised rapidly to support emergency relief efforts in Türkiye. Within days, we deployed a specialised team that included a Turkish doctor who provided invaluable medical expertise and local language skills.
