Stephen Smith

Stephen Smith is the owner of SEPAR International group, a risk management, training and organisational development company.

Stephen is originally from London, UK and has worked with the media, NGOs and Hummanitarian organisations in a number of hostile environments. With over 32 years experience in security, intelligence and protection beginning with the British Army operating with airborne forces and the Pathfinders. Operational service included intelligence gathering, long range reconnaissance, high risk search and diving operations working in a number of environments including the jungle, mountainous regions and the desert.

Stephen studied his Master’s Degree at Leicester University specialising in cyber security and threats to the Afghan Media.  As the chief architect of SEPAR’s training delivery Stephen has developed curriculum to reflect ‘do no harm’ and a holistic approach where physical, digital and psychosocial methods are integrated.

Additionally Stephen is part of the SEPAR Gender initiative where LGBTQ+ and women only training is constantly being developed and delivered.
