Working for SEPAR International

Updated: Jun 11, 2021

We know that we are nothing without our employees who work hard to make SEPAR a success and as such we recognise our duty to make each and everyone of them feel valued and appreciated. We all enjoy our team environment and are so lucky to have so many hard working and motivated individuals with us along for the ride.

We actively promote an equality ethos, everyone is treated equally and with respect regardless of gender, race, religion, disability (or anything else that could be discriminated against for that matter!)

Our HR Director, Leighanne Pitman-Smith, does an exceptional job in taking care of all of our staff members and she asked a few of them for their thoughts on what it is like to work for SEPAR.

I am very happy working with Separ Afghanistan, I have learned a lot since I started with Separ thanks to the help and support of our Director and in country manager. We are all part of a team and we are always trying to do our best and to do our responsibilities to the highest standard we can, when you are appreciated in a place of work it makes you want to do your very best for them. For me Separ is a company where I can continue to learn, upgrade my skills and progress knowing I have a great team and support system behind me.

I have been working with Separ for many years now, I started as a trainee chef then worked my way up to Head Chef and then progressed to Head of House. The support I get from my employers has meant that I have been able to feel confident, safe and supported enough to progress in my career with Separ and for a female in my country this is huge. Separ is more than just a job for me, it is like a family we all work together as a team and support each other in our day to day roles, no one is above another we are all equals and are treated as such.

I recently joined Separ at the beginning of 2021 as the General Manager of Afghanistan and have been welcomed into the team with open arms. I have been given total managerial freedom to ensure the smooth running of Separ Afghanistan and have enjoyed the wide range of responsibilities with everyday being different, all of this with unconditional support from Separ HQ.

Working with SEPAR International has never felt like work for so many reasons. Being a company that focusses on training and raising awareness every engagement is an opportunity for me to learn. Secondly the company allows me to work from anywhere and does not limit me to the office or the 8 - 5 office hours. The bosses are also amazing and not your usual uptight bosses in suits, so friendly and helpful. I'm so delighted to be part of this team.
