Hostile Environment Awareness Training in Hereford

Updated: Jul 14, 2021

Hostile Environment Awareness Training - HEAT of HEFAT is an essential course for anyone who wishes to travel to a hostile environment globally.

You could be a journalist, charity worker, corporate employee, engineer or even a tourist, wherever in the world your travels take you there can be unknown risks.

We teach our HEAT courses regularly across the world, from Hereford to Mogadishu and beyond, we teach a highly practical four day course to get you prepared for your trip. Many insurance companies will not grant you insurance unless you have such a certification and the SEPAR International CPD accredited course certification is valid for 3 years.

SEPAR International works on the principle of conducting business discreetly utilising a low profile approach within a network of trusted friends and associations.

We conduct our trainings with a holistic approach encompassing a 'do no harm' ethos, we are not here to cause any undue distress and this is the guiding process of not traumatising participants and setting the conditions where stress is not excessive.

Gender, race, disabilities and cultural aspects are respected and integrated into the syllabus of the course.

We like to encourage participants to be fully involved and ask as many questions as they like - there is no such thing as a stupid question!

We have several guest instructors throughout the week introducing the best in their fields to our participants providing an interesting and well rounded course.

On our next UK course on the 26th - 29th July 2021 we will have a visit from award winning film director Phil Cox who will be discussing his time in captivity when held in Sudan.

SEPAR International are well known for our inclusive and interactive courses and are supported by organisations such as The Rory Peck Trust who give freelance journalists grants to attend.

Our next course in the UK will be in Hereford on the 26th July 2021 at our stunning venue Brinsop Court
